"TELEDENTISTRY" Services 

Offered at NKC Dental:

NKC Dental is maintaining regular business hours for dental emergencies. We are also offering virtual appointments that include diagnoses and prescriptions, if needed, to patients who may require dental treatment  but are sheltering in place, not feeling well, or are at high risk for contracting Covid-19. Per American Dental Association guidelines for the coronavirus pandemic, we have suspended all elective and maintenance procedures until further notice.

At NKC Dental, we believe that it is our ethical and professional obligation to make sure that, in this time of heightened anxiety, our patients can rest assured that our leadership is considering every means at its disposal to provide dental care to those in need without exposing them to unnecessary risks. The following outlines how we will safely provide treatment during this national COVID-19 crisis:

 

In-Office Treatment for Emergencies and Patients in Pain

Our office will remain open and continue to see patients who are experiencing pain and/or need immediate dental treatment, in an effort to keep patients out of hospital emergency rooms for their own safety and to prevent hospitals from being overloaded. Call our office to speak with a staff member about your specific situation.

 

“Teledentistry” Appointments Available

We are providing phone and/or video consultations for all patients in place of in-office appointments when appropriate. In many cases, we can make a diagnosis over the phone and through video conferencing and prescribe medication if needed by sending prescriptions directly to your pharmacy. The American Dental Association announced that many insurances will be covering “teledentistry” during this national crisis, and our staff can look into this for you when you call.

Dental Cleanings and Hygiene

We are back in full operation. Make an appointment to schedule your cleaning. 

 

For Your Safety

In addition to our stringent everyday sterilization, cleaning and sanitizing procedures, we are implementing additional safety measures to protect against the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Such measures include, but are not limited to, wearing Personal Protective Equipment and adding hand sanitizing stations throughout the office. For patients coming in for their appointment, a team member will take temperatures, ask a series of questions, and will be asked to wear a mask. A mask will be provided for you should you not have one.
