Enamel bonding is a cost-effective solution for a chipped, cracked or stained tooth. Tooth-color resin is applied to the surface of the tooth to repair it. Bonding can also be used to close the large spaces between teeth, or change the shape of teeth.
The Procedure
During the procedure, an enamel-like material is applied to a tooth’s surface. The material is then sculpted to the ideal shape, hardened and then polished for an ideal smile. This only takes one visit, but the results can last for years.
Though this is a cost effective procedure, bonding is more susceptible to staining or chipping than other forms of restoration such as veneers.
